“ When staying on the island this is one of our favorite places. Never fails to disappoint. Personally I usually get the steak. My wife prefers fish an its always wonderful. Make a reservation. ”
“ Amazing lunch outdoors overlooking the marina. Excellent food! ”
“ This place is perfect for the right clientele. It is a cozy French bistro with a refined atmosphere. Relaxed outdoor seating and more intimate inside dining. They serve upscale authentic food. Anyone will feel welcomed by the staff. However, if you have young children or picky eaters...this might not be the best option. Ive never had a bad meal and will continue to come back time and time again. Come prepared to have an evening. Its not just food. Share a bottle of wine or several, enjoy the company, savor the meal, and take a walk under the the marina stars after. You will not regret the time spent at bistro 17. ”
“ Excellent view service. The food is delicious. We took my parents for their anniversary lunch. Everything was perfect! We had the shrimp, tuna, chicken salad, salmon salad, smoked salmon. We loved everything and are looking forward to returning soon! ”

“ My sister and I have Lunch at Bistro 17 a couple times a month. Everything on their menu is delicious, fresh and presentation is always beautiful. They make most of their own dressings, sauces, etc. They offer flavors unique to their restaurant! Our favorite for Lunch is their Salad topped with Grilled Salmon. In fact, their Grilled Salmon is the best in the whole HHI area! The owner and staff aim to please and always succeed! ”
“ We dined with friends before going to see Chicago the musical. Nice view of the marina and we had a cozy table by the wine racks that was most pleasant. Our server Kristina is nice and knowledgeable in regards to the menu. We were quite pleased with the service and she got us out in plenty of time for the show. I had the Jumbo grilled shrimp and it was delicious. I started with the wedge salad which was very cold with lots of bleu cheese just the way I like it. We will return on our next visit to Hilton Head. ”
“ Dined outdoor on a Wednesday, did not make reservations. Nice view of the marina. Greeted with bread and butter, cheese, crackers and olives. Reasonable prices. Friendly service variety of food and drinks. They do have cocktails, no cocktail menu, you just have to ask. They have a wine and small beer menu. Handicapped accessible. Parking in Shelter Cove.
